On Sunday, March 2nd, Steinberg Law proudly participated in the Autism Speaks Field Day for All in West Palm Beach, Florida. This incredible event, formerly known as the Autism Speaks Walk, brought together families, supporters, and advocates for a day of celebration, fundraising, and awareness.
As part of the Sunset Palms Elementary School team, Steinberg Law contributed to an impressive fundraising effort, helping the team raise nearly $23,000 to support individuals with autism and their families.
A Cause Close to the Heart
For Brett Steinberg, managing attorney at Steinberg Law, this event holds deep personal significance. Brett’s son, Dylan, is a bright, determined, and inspiring young boy who has benefited from early intervention and support services. By participating in the Autism Speaks Walk, Brett and his family aim to give back and help other children receive the same opportunities that have helped Dylan thrive.
“Dylan is a wonderful gift to our family,” Brett shared on his fundraising page. “Along with his many superpowers, he also faces challenges, and it has taken a village of therapists, experts, teachers, and loving supporters to help him become the successful student and enthusiastic, happy little boy he is today. We hope in supporting Autism Speaks, many more children will have similar opportunities.”
Community Support Making a Difference
The Sunset Palms Elementary School team, including Steinberg Law, raised over $10,000 for Autism Speaks, contributing to the team’s overall fundraising total of $23,000. This money will go toward funding research, advocacy, and essential services for individuals with autism. Sunset Palms Elementary has three dedicated autism classrooms serving K-5 students, providing an inclusive environment where children can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
This event was more than just a fundraiser. It was a day of celebration and unity. Field Day for All offered engaging activities designed to be inclusive for individuals across the autism spectrum, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for families and supporters. It represents a commitment to ensuring that those with autism never walk alone. “To us, Dylan is one in a million,” Brett expressed. “But with autism, he is 1 in 36. By walking for Dylan, we ensure that those with autism will always have the support they need.”
